Mitch Beiser, President
Mitch Beiser is the President and founder of Night Light, Inc. Mitch is a graduate from Western Michigan University
in Kalamazoo MI... He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in flight technology, airplane ratings of commercial, multi
engine, instrumentation & flight instruction. Mitch also has an airframe and power plant mechanics license. He also
holds an Associates degree in mechanical engineering from Delta Community College in Saginaw MI.
Mitch has more than 20 years of design experience in the field of landscape Illumination. He began his career in
Dallas TX in the early 80’s. Being from MI he decided to go back north to the Midwest near his family and get out
of the intense heat of the south.
Mitch opened his first shop in 1987 in Lake Zurich IL. In the early years he was dedicated to only 120 volt
lighting, since low voltage was very underdeveloped and just not practical for the serious high end type systems
that Mitch was creating.
During the mid 90’s Mitch worked with some of his suppliers, such as GE to produce better type lamps which included
a series of Low-Voltage lamps. Mitch designed all his own fixtures from the bottom up and developed a very simple but
eloquent style of illumination that was very dramatic and subtle in its implementation.
Mitch has been recognized at the World Lighting Fair for his design excellence and asked to speak on many occasions
at the Chicago Botanical Garden, Morton Arboretum, Golf Course Superintendents Association, American Society of
Landscape Architects, and Illinois Landscape Contractors Association along with many private clubs and associations.
Mitch oversees the daily operation of the business along with providing significant sales due to his vast network
of clients. As the founder of the company he is also very involved in the design process, the training of all
designers and maintaining Night Light’s focus on top quality and simplicity.
